RC4: Hauppauge PVR-150 not working (2 Viewers)

Hey, there's something strange; after I read Henri's last message, I'd searched for this Elecard Codec - and suprise - Codecdoctor (or something like that) is rumbling about a Codec called "Elecard", which is registered, but no files where found for it... Now comes the "Twilight-Zone" Part; I'd realy newer ever installed this Codec... Hmmm... Now I have the problem, that I can't deinstall it... It seems that a night of registry-strapping is required :-(

Mike can't you locate the applicable files and de-register it with the next command (= deregistering COM component)?

regsvr32 /u <file>

Henri, thnx again for the tip, but I'd found the reg-key and after I removed it, the System is now up working again!

But it is still a question, where this codec was coming from... :?

Mike is it possible that you installed a codec-pack in the past. In general this is a bad idea. Most of the times FFDShow is enough.

At this moment I use ffdshow-rev2529-SSE.exe (3105648 Bytes
2006-04-26 06:47:20 UTC) and no problems so far.
