Another day, another try, but still not working

I have Primary Version 3.9.22146 Perhaps this is the issue and gives other behaviour of the card. Which version are you using Wortelsoft?

I am also suspecting the Wizards to be incorrect. In the past I always configured everything manually. This time I followed the wizards...

I already noticed that the channellist is not correct when I check the XML file. I'll try a fresh install (after un-install and deleting directory of course) ASAP, but at this moment I am a little short on time. Further I will then again do the configuring completely manually without using any wizard.

As soon as I have results I will post them here.

Hi, I have the same Problem... My last version of MP was 2RC1 - Without any problem in TV-Mode. But since I'd installed RC4, even the channel-scan preview (in setup) is black - the system finds all channels, but don't show a picture... TV2000 and any other app are working fine (using TVCap150 for recording - no problems at all!)

So it seems a real problem in MP RC4...

    Greetings from switzerland - Mike

I din't even now the program existed on my system
It's version 3.9.22146 and looks different then the pic of flipger

What do I need this program for? Is it to force the card in dx9 mode?

I have uninstalled MP, deleted the whole directory and installed all again together with latest SVN. Then I configured everything manually and without any filled TVGuide in order to rule out possible problems.

Still not working :( Same behaviour as before...

Wortelsoft I have exact the same version of Primary.exe as you have. Which settings do you have set?

    use hw motion

One thing I thought about is that there has been some work done not so long ago on the pvr150, something with incorrect recognition. maybe you should try if a cvs /svn from before those changes works.

Wortelsoft thanks again for the quick reply. I have checked the recent history of MP and saw next interesting changes in the past:

    MediaPortal TVEngine
On 08/04/2006 [14:21:16] dman_LFC added the following change: New PVR2000 variant

    MediaPortal TVEngine
On 19/03/2006 [21:53:31] dman_LFC added the following change: - OEM Hauppauge PVR-250 support

    MediaPortal TVEngine
On 15/03/2006 [22:50:06] dman_LFC added the following change: - Hauppauge PVR USB2 MCE support

    MediaPortal Fixed
On 02/01/2006 [19:52:29] dman_LFC added the following change: MultiTuner Bug with different PVR cards

As I already told you I have the PVR150 correctly working with RC2. The problems only started after this RC2. I've tried RC3 and RC4 and both had the same issue. What I do find interesting in the history is the change on 15/03/2006 by dman_LFC. I find especially this entry interesting because I use an external USB (Creative USB Soundblaster Audigy 2 NX) soundcard. I'll try to disable this one and use the onboard audio asap and let you all know the results...

I have removed the USB soundcard and use only the onboard AC97 sound. Still no go with MyTV.

Then I changed the Audio Codec of MyTV into ffdshow Audio Decoder and unchecked the [ ] Select channel by index (non-US) and at least something is happening now. I get an error message-box saying Unable to connect graph:

So you get the logging 'Exception :confused:ystem.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.' So this seems like a software issue to me. Perhaps I now really should start debugging this whole thing. However upto now my skills are 'only' assembly and C/C++. Perhaps this is a good starting point for improving my C# skills....

May not be related, but try uninstalling ffdshow. I had problems with my (completely different, USB) tuner until I did. I now also tend to use Mpeg2Dec video and MPEG.... audio codecs, only using my native tuner codecs when testing a new release of MP (to ensure tuner still working). I also use the tuner's bespoke software as a control check as well (Presto!PVR).
ffdshow caused my problems - rather worrying, when it's supposed to be supported and recommended to improve video quality!!

I have it finally working! :D

The problem was solved after I uninstalled the Elecard codecs. Interesting enough these codecs were *NOT* configured for MyTV.

Thanks to everyone of the great MP community in assisting me with this nasty issue. I always heard great stories of the Elecard codecs but apparently this time it costed me a LOT of time...

(BTW: with RC2 I also used the Elecard codecs and didn't had any issues with it)
