Is media portal ready to be used in the new frame work .net 3? and what are the possibilities of the future animations using the new framework?

Its ready to be used in that its fully compatible. This is because .NET FX3, is really just .NET FX2 + WPF + WCF + Windows CardSpace + Windows Workflow components.

The MP devs are planning on using WPF later for the interface, but that's on the backburner at the moment while the TV Engine is being done.

I don't know what we can expect from MediaPortal, but here are some things that you can do with WPF.
Basically it's easier to do scalable graphics and have videos and stuff projected on surfaces. To have a skin in MediaPortal where menu items are actually videos that are changed in size and rotation should be fairly easy to do.
Here are some examples:

100% my bad - as expected :) So, I had disabled the Windows Update service. Not a wise move, until MP all installed and working nicely. The reason it failed is because DotNetFrameworkChecker.cs looks in Registry HKLM SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\NET Framework Setup\\NDP for v4/v4.0 AND v3.5. W10 has V4.0 but not 3.5. MP installer...

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

I have made a copy of the dll file into the plugins folder as found in my...

yes that is indeed what I did in that ticket. It may already be working without updating those plugins because most of it was not relevant to the plugin itself (test, some leftover unused parts etc).
