Well it use to be fine but then Apple came along with the iPhone remember?

Check your HDD power settings. If they are set to sleep after 20 mins that could be your issue.

I don't know why your worrying about a 5 second load time?[DOUBLEPOST=1396654897][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyway yeah I think something corrupt is causing my issues. Hot this niggly thing happening whereby I can play tv episodes on my 'tv server' machine but when scanned over my network on the client It won't play them. Mp tv series struggles to process them. I've checked all the obvious stuff, permissions, network setting...etc. I've deleted all metadata from the folders and even dragged the file into a different folder and still have issues. Locally they play fine.
