I'm sorry, but HTPC software not supporting this doesn't look good...

Think you didn't read the entire thread. We're not talking about streaming/recording/etc. since this is all working. We're only talking about the Disk Quota option on network shares.

Yes I read it all. Only disc quota isn't working...It just wasn't clear to me what was officially SUPPORTED. It looked to me like all network streaming/recording/etc. was also not officially supported (which means no guarantee of efforts for solutions to problems).

have the same problem with Synology Discstation. Recording working, but no disk quota.
Is there someone who solved this problem?

It's impossible for someone to have found a solution for this, because it's simply not supported. So quota on network drives won't work unless a rework is done (which isn't planned)

It is possible to activate the disk quota in the Synology diskstation manager. This should lead to the same result as activating it in the tv-service.
