[not reproducible] Recording fails (1 Viewer)

    Dear all,

    after installation (update, afterwards full clean up with all new installation) I met the following:
    - scheduled records fail or do not take place
    - record sign in skin shows up but disappears after some seconds
    - start of records is indicated, but there is no record yet in records view

    The TSWriter seems to have a problem:
    [2014-01-03 05:04:51,527] [6766ea8] [ef0] - Recorder:unable to create file:'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\recordings\Mankells Wallander - Mordbrenner - Das Erste - 2014-01-03.ts' 3

    In the target path, there was no folder "recordings"...The record file should be in another folder that I set up in the server config.
    See logs attached. Help is highly appreciated!

    I met the following:
    - scheduled records fail or do not take place
    - record sign in skin shows up but disappears after some seconds
    - start of records is indicated, but there is no record yet in records view
    All of these are symptoms of the failure to record.

    The record file should be in another folder that I set up in the server config.
    TV Server seems to be behaving as configured.
    If you change the recording folder then the TV service must be restarted. Otherwise the changes don't have any effect.
    Also, make sure that you select the tuner before selecting the recording folder (or use "same recording folder for all cards"). It is easy to make a mistake with this configuration if not careful.

    This is true, but so far this the setup I use since over 5 years know.

    Fixing it worked like this: changing the configuration had no effect (even with restart of TV service).
    Finally I manually created the seemingly missing folder, did my typical setup with the restart again and now it works.

    Strange. Could this be related to a user rights issue?

    Does this mean import settings, or actually configure the settings in TV Server configuration?
    I ask because I can see these errors in the log files:
    [2014-01-02 00:15:58,007] [Log ] [SetupTv ] [ERROR] - Import: Failed to import settings for card "Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-T Tuner/Demod"
    [2014-01-03 03:00:42,889] [Log ] [SetupTv ] [ERROR] - Import: Failed to import settings for card "Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-T Tuner/Demod"

    So, probably your recording folder configuration was not imported.
