I am recording 2 shows back to back with my dual recorder. Once the first show is done, it places it in the recorded TV. I then go in there and try to click on it and it does nothing. This is the error I am getting in the log. This is a couple of mintues after the show is over with. I think the only way to get the show to run is to reboot the system.

Yes... I remember the beatings you gave me in IRC... and this is not the same bug, becuase it's on the server and not the client. I am pretty sure this bug does not crash the server and it actally comes up with a log what the problem is.

    how do you go where?
    in windows explorer?
    in MediaPortal MyTV?

It sounds like you used MediaPortal MyTV -> recorded shows
if so, then it sounds at least simmilar to the issue ronilse has reported.

I have 2 shows recording back to back... when the first one is done, I got into Recorded shows withing MP and my new show is right there. I then click on it and nothing happens. The server itself does not crash, but the file will not play in MP. If you look at the logs, it says it in use somewhere.

This is happening on the same machine the server is running on. If I do the same thing on a client machine across the network... that is when it crashes the server. Becuase these 2 issues are very close they could be related. Maybe the server is crashing on the client side becuase the file is still locked...

I can confirm with rev662 and I believe with rev666.

The TV server isn't recording anymore, and show's everything as Idle. But when I try to open the file with MediaPlayerClassic (from Windows that is) it can't open the file because it's still open. When I try to delete or move the file Windows also gives me the message that the file is still in use.

Stopping the TV server (and starting it again) and the files become usable and playable! So the TV server doesn't seem to correctly close the output files, or it keeps the filter graph in a stopped state somewhere... anyway, the output files are still locked untill the TV server is stopped (or the whole machine is rebooted).

VideoLAN has the possibiliy to open files that are still in use by other programs (so it can also open the .TS timeshift buffers) and ofcourse that's why VLC has no problem playing the recorded .mpg's while the TV server still has the file open.
