I am starting a new thread on this as more info has been obtained. I am using two tuners with QAM. If I attempt to record from multiple channels (SIDs) on the same frequency (physical channel number) it only allows 1 per tuner. I've tried with both tuners enabled or just 1 at a time. Neither will record from 2 or more channels at once, even though the 2 channels are on the same physical channel (for instance, PBS2 and PBS3 which are SID 701 and 702 on Physical channel 39). In NextPVR, I am able to record 5 channels on each tuner at the same time (that's all I tried but may be able to do more; most Physical channels have 10 subchannels). I'll never need that many, but it would be nice to record 2 at once, at least. I would like to know if MP can actually do this at all, with ANY tuner. The wiki suggests it can but may be referring to OTA and DVB only. I would like clarification on this issue. I guess anybody willing to try it out with their QAM tuner can try and post results if none of the support team knows off hand since they are in nonQAM locales. Thank you.
