Hi All,

I’ll start off by saying that I think MP is a great bit of software and huge kudos to all the developers and others behind the project.

I seem to be having an occasional issue with recording DVB-T.

In some cases when I record, I get the XML file, but no actual TS file. Looking at the log files it seems to be logging a “waiting for PMT” and “no pmt received yet”

On the face of it is seems to know that there is no data being passed, but seems to continue believe that it is recording something.

Live TV does not seem to have the same issue.

The attached logs show
One recording working fine, as second recording failing and then switching to live TV to watch the program that failed to record.

I have search for similar topics, but most of these seem to center around problems creating the file. I don't think this is my issue.

Thanks
Darren

    Darro,
Sometime ago I also had missing .ts files. I think the reason was that my CanalDigitaal subscription to some of the sat-channels had expired. MP was therefore unable to receive these channels. Once I renewed my subscription I had no more missing .ts files.
I do still get empty .ts files however, which is just as bad...

    Hi Willemx,

    Thanks for the reply.

These are DVB-T free to air channels, so there is no subscription or any encryption.

I suspect that signal strength may have something to do with the issue, as it appears recordings to not try another card if they fail, whereas live tv does seem to move to another card if there appears to be no data flowing.

    Cheers
    Darro
