system is not a user, its the PC/Windows you are running.flokel said:Ok, so should I add a user SYSTEM to my smbusers?
edit: added user SYSTEM without success
test it with 2 minutes please
i am not sure how you can give the "system" write access on the share
but it should work if you give everyone write access.
i would:
1. remove the share on the server
2. create the share again (Freigabe und Sicherheit -> diesen Ordner freigeben)
3. enter the name of the share
4. Berechtigungen -> Jeder -> Vollzugriff -> Zulassen
5. Sicherheit -> hinzufügen -> Jeder -> Vollzugriff -> Zulassen
6. domain/Benutzer ->Vollzugriff -> Zulassen
If its still not working it could be caused by the Windows Domain/Security/Client Policies. and i can help you with that, sorry.
You can try to use the same Windows Login name & password on both computers & both have admin rights.
In shared (advanced network options have to be used in windows) add the Login name with all rights & give it a try, other than that & dunno
The safest way it's to use short folder names without space like this: MP_TV.
in this case i realy have no clue, and i cant test it hereflokel said:Sounds like windows server settings, but I'm using Linux on the server
