Guys! Great job, recent convert from MC7/MEdiabrowser, love the server/client setup and shared EPG etc.

Strange problem with playing back recordings is that randomly it will skip back 3 minutes. Sometimes it's after I manually try to skip forward (it will go back 3 mins instead of forward) but it also seems to just happen randomly during playback as well.

I'm scoured the forums but I haven't seen anything similar to bounce off. Not sure what sort of logs are required as I'm at work at the moment but any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT:: Apologies for the rushed post, Mail server was down at work, things got a bit hectic.

Running latest MP 1.2.2 on Windows 7 Pro 32bit - Both server and client are on same HTPC. When I get home I'll test on another connected client.

    Hi Matthew

I would start playback and then uplug anything usb and see if file plays fine, could be something as simple as a wireless keyboard sending a connect signal that can cause this weird behaviour, doing this should help you narrow it down.

Advice taken (I had a wireless dongle for keyboard and mouse plugged in), still happening. Seems to be a fault in the stream as it will always happen at the same spot. The video will freeze (MP still functioning) and if I skip forward or back by any increment under 5 minutes it will skip back to the same point in the video. If I skip 5 minutes or more video will resume, and I can even skip back 3 minutes (so I only lose 2 minutes).

I have a 4tuner PCI card from here:

Which has been working perfectly up until now.

I've turned on the 'Don't drop discontinued packets' setting to see if this has any effect. Obviously have to wait for some recordings now. When (IF i hope :)) it happens again I'll export the logs and check it out.

    Thanks for your help.
