I have a red square (sometimes green) in the lower right corner of my screen. See the attachments for an example. It is only visible when watching TV and follows the TV picture. See the attachment MyTV.jpg.

Can this be removed?

It started to appear some weeks ago. Around the time when the DVB-T subtitle functionality was introduced (TSreader.ax rewrite).

I am running a single seat TVserver installation. If running standalone MP it is possible to crop the TV, so I can get rid of the annoying red square in that way. Can this be done in the TVserver as well?

Logs are attached.

can you try different codecs? Just a guess, but some codecs witha trial period display annoying characteristics when the trial period expires, until you pay in full.
Elecard is one that does this. From memory it was a moving white square down the bottom of the screen.

Usualy those artefacts are "caused" by the broadcasters themselfs. I have seen lot of similar issues that are already present in the video stream. Mostly those are some "debug" info that broadcaster is using most likely for their own purposes, but they forgot that not all users are having hardware that has overscan.

So, to make sure please try to change the crop settings to limit the visible picrture area.

I am using the MPV codec, and have tried others, so Tourette is probably right.

How do I change the crop settings?
