If I start MP2 in 59 or 60 hz (windows7/screen resolution/advanced settings/monitor), when I play a 24p file, it stutters like hell even if my TV has change to 24hz.

    If I start MP2 in 50hz (windows7/screen resolution/advanced settings/monitor), every 24p file run smooth like it should.

Is there a possibility to make our own settings for refreshrate ? It would be cool to add this in settings/plugins/refreshrate changer.

    here is my logs.

    thanks guys.

Thanks for posting logs for this issue!

It seems like the current logic might not yet fit all needs. I check if the current screen refresh rate and multiple of the fps of video. Otherwise I try to change the display refresh rate to the video fps.

So i.e. a 25fps video will not switch a 50Hz mode, because it is an integral mutiple of 25.

I would like to avoid a complicated configuration like MP1 has.

I'll check if your logs can tell me more about the root cause.

Can you please post some screenshots of the rendering stats?

Start the playback of the 24fps file, wait for the refresh rate change, hit F10 to enable render stats (they won't update the refresh rate, you have to dis-/enable them to update it).

Does the render mode make a difference (toggle them via F11)?

During test and screenshot, I saw that as soon I hit alt+tab to switch from MP2 to paint, The MP2 render starts to act like it should (perfect smooth playback) until I restart MP2. Do you still need those screenshot?

Or this workaround point you the right direction?

I understand but, in my case, I would like to stay at 60hz for a 25fps video because with my TV, I have an option called PC mode that get rid off all the TV enhancement settings and stays ''locked'' when in 60hz (deactivate motion flow itself). On the other hand, when I throw a 24p movie, my ''motion flow'' activate itself for a all non-60hz refreshrate. So, my TV going to an non-60hz mode like with a 25fps (50hz),my motion flow will be active and cause bad stuttering of 120hz motion flow on a 25fps material. Sorry it's hard to explain for me.

So i.e. a 25fps video will not switch a 50Hz mode, because it is an integral mutiple of 25.

Curiously, in MP2 my 29.97 material set my TV to 30hz instead of staying at 59hz.

As temporary solution you can simply remove the RefreshRateChanger plugin from the MP2-Client\Plugins folder and let your TV handle everything.

Let's see how to fix your problem...

I tried with RefreshRateChanger plugin deleted and I didn't have sound problem.

morpheus_xx I experienced other thing weird with RefreshRateChanger

-If I let the video finish itself, my tv will try to revert to 50hz but will stays at 24hz.
-If I stop myself the video, the TV succeed to revert back to 50hz.

    Do you need logs ?
