Hi!

The issue seems to be a lot better but I am not quite sure if it is totally resolved.
While wathing TV yesterday evening all was fine - which retrospectively was not the case over last week but at the time the problem did not seem reproducable to me that's why I did not mention it before.

1)
However when I started 2 recordings again overnight and started playback of one of them from the recording again it still crashed this mornig:
I turned on the TV this morning and I was back at the recordings GUI, so the full screen Video was gone again - I think it should have been still in Fullscreen playback mode while the recordings where still going, so playback shouldn't have been ended(but thats not the problem).
When I clicked "back" MePo just crashed again, no error given. - logs are attached, there was no Windows Event log entry for that.


2)
Yesterday I did get the error "gentle.config" could not be saved within mePo configuration and live tv was broken. I fixed it with copying the gentle.conf from tvserver directory to MePo - how can this happen?

When sendinf the HTPC to STB S3 this morning MePo crashed but it wasn't until I resumed when I noticed it an hour later - will post logs later today.

I have attached 2 log files zips:

1 for issue "1" ->MePo crashin after recording and playback overnight - around 07:10 - 07:18 this morning
2 for issue gentle.config

Hi blub,

Just for clear for me.
You started 2 recordings and started watching one from Recorded TV on over night just for test. Am I right? Was your TV/monitor power off until morning?
As I see in the tswriter.log both of 2 recordings were stopped on ~07.16 so the tvserver was not crashed. Can you confirm it?

I think if your movingpictures.db is corrupt. Please find a thread how to resolve/rebuild it.

For issue 1: As I see in the log you could exit from MP in normaly. What was on the screen when you seen the crash?

1)
before I went to bed I logged on to my htpc via TightVNC (TV and AVR already were turned off) and I started 2 recordings for the test.
Then I entered the recordings menu and started the playbak of one of those 2 recordings from the beginning - so no TimeShift.
I disconnected from TightVNC with the recording playing in fullscreen mode, when I reconnected this morning Fullscreen mode wasn't running anymore, the GUI was at the recordings page/list indicating 2 recording are still running. I pressed "back" once or twice ( can't recall) and MePo just closed unexpectedly - I figured it should end up on the Home Screen.
When you say that MePo exited normally at around 07:12 this morning then the bug is fixed and my remote actions must have closed the program - however I don't know how I accidentally exited MePo with my remotecontrol !? - I haven't done that before and for the convenience it should not be possible with the assigned keys because I have no mouse or keyboard attached to restart it (thats why I use TightVNC at the moment)

2) Correct TVService was stopped by reboot - that's ok.

3) thx I will rebuild/delete movingpictures db.

unfortunately your mediaportal.log is "empty" and I can not reproduce your issue. Did you replaced my new tvplugin.dll? Can you confirm if I tested it with right order?

1. Go to my tv
2. Go to recorded tv
3. Start watching a recorded tv
4. Stop it.
5. Start again.

Was it the right order?

I used the dll from your last installer.

The last crash was with this order?
1. wake up from S3
2. Go to my tv
3. Go to recorded tv
4. Start watching a recorded tv
4. press "pause button".
MP is crashed, after some minutes in pause mode.

Meanwhile, I think it's a general problem, not related to your build.
I installed your package on the first of January and had only a few problem until last week.
Since then, almost every day. But not reproducible!
Could the problems are caused by a Microsoft patch? Or can I have a problem in the database?
Anything is happen last week.

Today I had the next.
1. wake up from S3
2. Go to my tv
3. Go to recorded tv
crash!
And again an empty mediaportal.log

Can you give me some detailes? What was the last module when you sent MePo to S3? Was the tvserver crashed too?

Please set your MP and TV server log level to debug.

Sorry, I've overlooked that you have provided an update.
I used the dll from your last installer.

Please use the new tvplugin.dll. It will fix a recorded tv releated bug.

Mhh as far as I can recall I was watching something from the TS Buffer. However I don't remember If I stopped that or went directly into STB.
The active module should have been the TV Plugin, I am pretty sure on that.

TV-Server did not crash.

ThX. It is most likely not directly related to this build however this build is not official and I thought it is better posted here. Don't invest to much time in the STB issue if it doesn't happend frequently. I will keep u up to date if it happens again.
