It looks like the keyboard part of your remote is not working.
You could try opening notepad, type in multiple lines of random text, and see if you can move the cursor up, down, left and right using your remote, Ok shoud also act as return.

Then you should install the HID Demo.
Use the keys mentioned above and see what you get.
Go to the devices tab make a screenshot and post it here
    Untick all devices.
Go to the logs tab copy the text and post it here.

Have you been through the HID Known Issues already, you never know.

    Hi Stéphane,

Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I've just started a new job and I'm working 12 hour days.

I tried the Notepad test and it worked fine. The arrow keys and OK did exactly what they are supposed to do.

I installed and ran the HID Demo, screen shots & Log attached.

I had a look at HID Known Issues. There was nothing there relevant to this configuration.

I'm sure you must be running out of ideas :) I'm just about ready to re-build the PC.

    Cheers,
    Steve.

    Congrats on your new job.
Thanks, but I'd rather win Lotto. I've really had enough of this working crap :)

Not because of that issue I hope.
Yep. I built this system for my Mum. I’m a part time carer for her. She has all the worst effects of diabetes, almost blind and deaf, very limited mobility. In particular, she has great difficulty using her hands and she has no feeling in them. It was a big enough struggle to find a remote control unit that she could use successfully. Now I’ve had to resort to giving her a mouse as well (To do the parts that the remote no longer does). Trust me, it’s a disaster :). Put a mouse in her hand and she just breaks things, both software wise and the mouse physically :)

So, I HAVE TO fix it. So, hopefully a re-build will do it - Fingers crossed.

Thanks for your persistence anyway, much appreciated :).

    Cheers,
    Steve.
