Next step is to fix bugs and move everthing to left side to make space for (wide) right panel.

A wide screen gives more possibilities. Be more flexible and try thing out like a wider TV guide, stuff like that. I could become a great option for people with HDTV.

why the black and red bar?

I just made my display resolution widescreen and zoomed it on my tv.
I thought that mediaportal then was in widescreen ratios.
My screenresolution is not the perfect 1024 x 576 but now 1088 x 612.

For the dutch people Mircosoft made the following site
