i believe it's related somehow to the Skystar2 and a new error that is showing in the logs regarding directx.
that would be uncommon, because i use this workound, with PVR-Scheduler, now on 5 HTPCs with Skystar2, 2 HTPCs with floppydtv and 2HTPCs with Nova-S.

Absolutely no issues with resume (manualy or scheduled Recordings) from hibernate reported until now (with PVR-Schdeuler of course).

Hi there once more, i tried again today and i've included the following logs. My recording that i tried of "gary the rat" (honestly it was for testing purposes only!!) starts at the corret time (from 0:55 to 1:20 with a 2 minute pre/post record) but after 2 minutes and at 0:55 the recording is stopped and the computer once again enters standby. Interestingly later on it wakes up and records the simpsons perfectly. I say interestingly as the simpsons was recorded on my hauppauge card, gary the rat was on the skystar2. So i've included my recorder log and the error log. I hope you can see something that could help as i'm pulling what is left of my hair out.

    Cheers
    m

If you are using the PVR-Scheduler (as suggested) to manage hibernate and resume, i think that could also be caused by a missconfiguration of PVR-Scheduler, since MediaPortals PowerScheduler must be dissabled.

The windows power management settings to automatically send the PC into hibernate must also be off.

You are using 2 DVB Cards? which Windows do you use?

Hi again, and thanks for your efforts it is appreciated. I'm using XP SP2, th hauppauge is a PVR150, so i have a dvb-s card (skystar2) and the analogue hauppauge. Windows power management is set to "never" for everything and i have made sure power scheduler is disabled also. There is a new release of PVR-s out so i will try it and see if my luck improves. Cheers m.

If still having problems try posting STSC at PVR-schedulers forum.
He is the Expert after all :D

Won't take the mick out of Gary the Rat

Thanks to all who have helped with this, i've solved the problem by getting the system to hibernate rather than standby between recordings. This appears to have made the system much more stable in general and has also solved my problem with the webbrowser plugin not working after a resume. The only downside is i had my remote set up so it could wake the system up from standby, when in hibernate everything seems dead, but it really was an option that i did just to see if i could. To anyone whose system works fine after a reboot but seems a little weird after a resume from standby i'd recommend hibernate as an option. I used a program called dumppo.exe to guarantee my S4 hibernate setting, good stuff over on the green button website about it.
