@Jay_UK can you test the attached plugin? It needs to be extracted into C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Client\Plugins.

    It does two things differently:
    • It queues up repeated screen resize events and "fires" 500ms after last event arrived
    • It does set the form dimension again before resetting the DX device
Can you check this please? I'm really curious about the result :)

    Hi there,

Installed, tested and no joy :(

Please see the attached log file and screen capture.

Windows even reports MP2 is not responding (when I do the screen capture)

Thanks for testing. Not the result expected ;)

So another try. I changed the way how the MainForm is adopted to size changes. Now it works much better, the screen adopts skin size correctly to new resolution. Can you please test the attached version (v2)

    Hi there,

Really appreciate your time and effort :)

Installed, tested and still no joy - MP2 does not fill the whole screen :(

    See attached files.

I feel it's getting better ;) On my system it works correctly, when turning on/off the AVR the screen size switches once to 1024x768, then back to 1920x1080. In your case there are multiple changes in short intervals, that's why I tried first to react on changes only after the last one (in given timespan) happened.

I will try to restore immediate device resets and then provide a new build in the afternoon. Thanks for testing this.

Next try. In principle I have restored only the immediate handling of resize changes.

    Hi there,

    No joy I'm afraid :(

A full reboot and MP2 seemed to fill the screen, but the task bar was visible. Then put the HTPC to sleep and woke it, but MP2 didn't fill the screen. Like previous, it is the right width, but an inch short at the bottom. See attached log.

Ok, next tries. Please test in this order:
    1. Extract the diagnostics plugin into MP2-Client\Plugin folder. It sets the log level to DEBUG
    2. Try the "_4" version first. It simply reacts on any display change. Collect and post log files.
    3. Try the "_5" version as next. It ignores the changes to 1024x768 (similar to MP1). Collect and also post log files.

    Hi again,

No joy with either - inch gap at the bottom of the screen.

Both tests involved installing the new version, rebooting, then putting the HTPC to sleep and waking.

Please see the attached log files.
