Here's a collection of fixes, mods and additions to Replicant and ReVision.

Skin files for the Basic Home Automation plugin. It is quite a departure from the Blue Two version and has a bunch of graphics files as well. Seems to work fine, however to get the word 'Automation' (or your language equivalent) at the top you will need to add <String id="9195">Automation</String> to you strings file.

Replacement semi-transparent dialog boxes, replacing the 'square speech bubble' ones.

Replicant Dialogs Dark Transparent

Replicant Dialogs Light Transparent - Screenshot

Replacement OSD backgrounds, the ones in Replicant at the moment are the ReVision ones.

Replicant OSD Background Fix

Replacement background images, the current Replicant ones have the icon at the top misaligned. Thought it was easier to 'shop the backgrounds than change the xmls.

Replacement position markers in the TV Guide and the OSD. Made them both '3D' and added a vertical bar in blue.

Hello,

I am using MP 0.2.3.0RC2 and TVServer3 and have installed Mediaportal NOT in the standard-directories.
Everytime i would like to install Replicant or Revision Skin, the install routine asks me for the directory in wich I have installed MediaPortal.
After providing the MP directory on my machine, the setup routine brakes down with the message: "Please specify the directory you have installed MP in".
Whats wrong here?
Is there a possible way to bring the skins up into MP if MP is installed in non-standard directories?

Thank you

Daniel

@ bmorgenthaler, can you try RC3. If not I'll try to track down the problem with the info you've given. Oh, in future don't bother posting all that fancy hardware info - not really much use to me ;).

Thanks that worked perfectly.

Sorry about the hardware specs, habit from posting in other threads ;)

Also I noticed in Replicant with the MyLyrics plugin the lyrics on the left side are more justified towards the top. It sort of annoyed me that there was no border at the top and a large one at the bottom. So i modified mylyrics.xml and changed the YPos in the two textbox entries to 155. It looks a lot better to me with the lyrics being centered vertically.

I don't know what else this might adjust though since the first time I've tried messing with a team.

Also I haven't tried to customize the fonts, just using standard US settings. However all of the lower case m's have this little line under them. (I've attached a picture.)

I'll see what I can do for the next release.

Unfortunately that's a known limitation of the font. You can try changing the font in fonts.xml, delete the cache folder and restart MP.

Hey psycho - I´m still looking / waiting for a xml for the mediatranscoder.
Could you do it for this lovely skin?
I thought it was already included, I'll have a look for ya.

    Thanks, Psycho.
I have made the following workaround for this. I´ve installed MP 0.2.20 on another machine, installed Revision/Replicant on this machine and copied the two folders to my HTPC wich is running under 0.2.30RC2.
It will work and on this point, I will thank you for the good Skins.

In the meantime, it would be a great idea to provide a ZIP file with all neccessary files on it to install the skins manually, if needed.

Are you using ReVision or Replicant, the xmls are there for ReVision. Also what version of the plugin are you using, perhaps the xmls have changed?

Will do, I'll probably try to switch over to MPinstaller at some time.
