your MP is outdated.

The skin is for svn installs, if you check the config it will be reported as for version 2.2.1

Thanks, got MP with ReVision up and running now.

One problem: In the middle of my homescreen I now got the following message:
"Missing or invalid file C:\..\ReVision\myHome.xml"

I've tried to reinstall the skin but the same message appears. Any suggestions?

@ Undertow, copy the refrences.xml in the Non-SVN folder to your ReVision folder. I've included it for that reason. PLEASE read the installation instructions.

bobrap, I've already included skinned files for MyFilms in the latest (1.0.8) release... On this very page I said "Minor tweak to MyFilms navigation button graphics.".

@ all, WHY do I have to keep answering the same questions :(.

Sorry, im trying MP for the first time and did not find the answers when I was searching the forum.

I did follow the installation instruction for SVN , and got the error-message in my homescreen as mention above. When I replaced the refrences.xml in my ReVision folder as you said I got the popup saying the skin was outdated again.

Hehe I feel like a complete moron with MP, sorry for all these stupid questions. I guess I have some reading to do, I'll try ReVision when I know MP a little better.

    :sorry:

Sorry if I asked a dumb question. Was just hoping for a little better alignment than what I have.

First off, sorry for the rant earlier guys - bad day.

@ bobrap, looks like you're using the latest version of MyFilms - 4.2? If so, the current skin files only support v4.0. I'll download the new version and have a look at the xml changes. Generally I copy the updated dlls to the plugins folder first and see if the latest version of ReVision supports any changes. I you find that a plugin doesn't work anymore post the version of the plugin you're using so I can update the skin files. I don't use many pluging atm.

@ Undertow, first off I'd say, I only use SVN (update daily) and I've never had any "real" problems. If it's not too late:
Rename your MP folder (eg: MediaPortal.bak) and do a clean install of v0.2.2.0 stable.
    Apply MediaPortal-svn--04-30-2007--01-02-Rev14454.
Copy the font to your windows\fonts folder.
Copy the ReVision folder to you MediaPortal\Skins directory.
Start MP, select ReVision under skin, and configure the rest.

Let me know how you get on.

Its tough for people new to MP, a skin, or a plugin. I know, I jsut came around a week ago, and having to navigate through 50 page threads is really complicated. thats the problem with having all the docs/support in a single thread.

    Thanks Psycho Reptile!!

I just did a clean install of MP, added ReVision and everything is working as it should. Thanks for the help and this excellent skin!

This is a little off topic, but could someone explain to me why i would use MyFilms, and not My Videos?

    What are the differences?

My complaints with MyVideos is that it doesn't auto scan for new movies, and the imdb scanner is pretty much the pits..
