I need help. I just installed 1.3 final and find out that so many plugins are still not compatible that using it is not so fun anymore.
I reinstalled MP to 1.2.3 version and suddenly can't install Rockstar anymore. I get "Dependency check error" window and inside "Rockstar dependencies" information that min and max version of MP is 1.1.6.27644 (?#$#%!$).

Did full (%$!@%!$%) uninstall of MP and reinstalled again with the same effect. I cleaned the regsitry, trying to find this number and removed all things with "team media portal" in names. I also deleted all files of MP. Nothing has changed, so I am lost a little. Searched all forum for some tips - still no clue.

Additionally I'm affraid it might also impact my other plugins.

So something is really messed up with the latest 1.3. And - sorry - the testers did a bad job naming it FINAL (&$#%@^$).

So if any one could direct me, what should I do. Please help!

I agree that MP version dependency stuff is way too complex for normal user (including me) to understand especially because the "real" MP versions have nothing to do with the actual DLL versioning.

Rockstar 2.2. is for MP 1.3.0 only. I also agree that the error message you are getting is total bullshit since normal users should not get errors like that but only "Plugin is not compatible with MP version 1.2.3" or "Plugin requires MP version 1.3.0"

    Thx for reply, seco.
This is not even so simple. I tried to install all - I mean ALL - versions available in repository. Each and every one says the same - dependency doesn't match. So this is not the case with 2.2 version only. I even tried to degrade MP to 1.2.0 and it did not help anyway. :(

Great, but can I count on some advice here? I'm really stuck with installation and don't know if I should struggle with this or wait for next version. >>
Is there any way to change this version number inside any file?

If you are running MP 1.2.3 then you should have no problems installing Rockstar 2.1.8.

The big question is, if you are trying to install 2.1.8 using MP Extension manager, I don't know from where it downloads the file installer package. Have you double-checked that during the installation you are actually installing 2.1.8.?

Rockstar 2.1.8 is not available in the Install List in Ext. Installer (there are 2.0.4 to 2.1.7 and next is 2.2) nor in the assembla (all links lead to 2.2). I even downloaded and tried install manually from file - no effect.
But anyway I tried to install all all and none of them works. I guess with 2.1.8 would be the same. That's why it's so strange...

Big thanks, seco. I will post feedback.

One more thing: in MPEI options tab I have 'show only compatible extensions' checked. Shouldn't I have 2.2 version at least greyed out or something?
