I have installed SAF v3.47.
It is not showed in the installed software application within the Windows control panel. Is that normal or hasn't it been installed correctly?

No, it is not.
You should install 3.49 beta, this one support online videos and much more (check change log)
To uninstall SAF, run setup again.

I uninstalled SAF and after this I have installed the latest SAF Beta version. Now the Trailers plugin is working fine.
So I have the following open items (which didn't resolved due to the upgrade of SAF):
- Youtube not playing
- No subtitels with Divx (subtitle has the same filename as the movie file)
- ISO files are not running/playing very smooth, every few seconds it looks like the video stops for a small moment

Any ideas? Are those working at your end?

- no problem with youtube here (did NASA works for you)?
- By DivX you mean video.divx or standard video.avi? Do you have MP 1.1 alpha installed? Did you enabled subtitles in MP configuration?
- By ISO you mean riped DVD? Standard DVD works fine for you?

Send me SAF.log.txt and SAF-FiltersExport.reg.txt (look on your system root) and MediaPortal.log when trying to play "divx" video.

I trying to play some drv-ms files from my old MCE 2005 on MediaPortal. But I get a codec error. Should SAF be able to play these files ? or should I install som other codec ?

Another problem is some old .mpeg files that also gives codec errors. My old system was able to play these, but I don't know what codec was used. But as I understand you might have problems if installing other codec packet when using SAF ?

Can someone please help. The drv-ms files is some series my wife recorded :-(

Hi. SAF is not configured to support *.dvr-ms and *.mpeg.
Can you send me small dvr-ms and mpeg samples?
You can try to rename *.mpeg to *.mpg, wich is supported, should works now.

Currently I use MP 1.0.2 and SAF 3.47 (plus cppp2005's binaries for MKV+subs HW acceleration) on Vista Home Premium, everything is working fine for my needs. Not using TV server. An older version of OnlineVideos (0.8.6) is working fine too.

Now, I have a couple of questions:

- Can I upgrade to latest SAF 3.49 beta and use it with MP 1.0.2? If so, more important: should I?

- If I go to MP 1.1 Alpha, would I get MKV+subs HW acceleration out-of-the-box with SAF 3.49?

I think there arent any difference, becouse cppp2005's patch was integrated in to MP 1.1 Alpha.
My tip is MP 1.1 Alpha + latest SVN (fixed default subtitle language selection for example) + SAF beta, or wait for MP 1.1 final (SAF should be "final" soon too).

A quick doubt:

According to the changelog:

v.3.49 beta17:
- MP	- At last MP build 23090 (1.1.0.0 ALPHA) is requaired now

Does it mean the latest beta version are not installable with MP 1.02 ?
