I've always used the Gabest decoder because the Cyberlink decoder stutters constantly (with DXVA enabled of course). I've just swapped out my DTV1000T and DTV1000S with a Hauppage HVR2200 - and the decoder still does not work. I've installed the Elecard decoder as a test and it's amazing, so I'm determined to work out what's wrong with the Cyberlink decoder because the Elecard decoder is not free, and I don't want a haxed version.

If I uninstall SAF, where else should I check to make sure the Cyberlink codec is completely removed (so that I can ensure I'm doing a proper reinstall of SAF)?

Thanks

EDIT: My client install on my desktop works fine with the Cyberlink decoder. Just when watching live TV on my HTPC the stutter is terrible but the spec is fine because the Elecard decoder is perfect.

Further to this, I can confirm my registry settings are identical between my HTPC and the client PC (both Win7, MP1.1 latest SVN, SAF beta 21):

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\Common]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\Common\cl264dec]
"UIUseHVA"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\Common\CLVSD]
"UIUseHVA"=dword:00000001
"EnableVMR9"=dword:00000000

Usage of Cyberlink MPEG-2 decoder is stored per application here:

Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\Common\CLVSD\MediaPortal]
"UIUseHVA"=dword:00000001

I see - this is from my HTPC, what is "UIVMode"?

Ask Cyberlink :)

Haha. Noted - I'll do some more research and try and find out what has broken the codec on my HTPC tomorrow. It's frustrating because the Elecard codec works fine and uses DXVA so there must be something hiding and left over there from Cyberlink.. don't want to have to reinstall Windows 7 until MP1.1 final comes out :)

@z3us - first step usually is to try in MPC-HC

I tried, and it didnt work. In VLC , the sound is perfect

I have no sound when playing .mkv files. I added ffdshow audio decoder to MP post processing but problem still there

Didnt you enabled passthrought durning SAF install?

Yes, I did

Anyway, as Im going to install a new GPU card and format the HTPC, I will wait to see if the problem solves

VLC have nothing to do with DirecrShow.
Please send video sample.

...and you have reciever when you enabled Passthrough? Becouse if your audio connection is analog you will only hear "silence" then.

VC1

Hello,
I made a vc1 file with clown_bd from my HD-DVD.
My problem is, that I can´t play the file, whatever I use. With Cyberlink Codec 9 or MPC Codec I get the error
Abspielen nicht möglich: Video_3.vc1
VideoCodec: VC-1
AudioCodec:
I use the latest SAF unlocked.
Can anybody else play vc1 files?
