hmmm couldn't work out how to bring Live TV into MPC-HC, so no obvious way to test outside MP.
Note you only really notice how bad it is with HD Mpeg-2. Its still there with SD, just not as noticeable. So I could try DVD's, but it would probably look like SD TV (ie not as noticeable).
I just realised how stupid I was being with my h.264 comment above. I'm using MPC for h.264 videos. Not PDVD 9.
I mean - record small sample and play it in MPC-HC player - is problem still there?
BTW, MPC-HC player have support for liveTV![]()
Another advantage I've found with the Nvidia decoder is that it shows UK Freeview channels Dave and Dave ja vu fullscreen properly. The Cyberlink decoder can't handle them and shows the programmes in a 16:9 window (pseudo 16:9?) with large black borders on all sides, with only the adverts being fullscreen.
All i can say is - "sample please"...
Hi!
is it possible to add silent switches to the saf installer?
it would be nice for my auto install cd... ;-)

ahhh amazing what one little check box can do..... had VMR 9 mixer mode selected in MPC. Must have been messing around in there. Turn that off, and now I have exactly the same output as in MP with no / poor de-interlacing. MPC says DXVA is working (can't see it in the image as I had to pause it).
Best ATI-driver version to use with SAF...?
I am running MP 1.1 Beta latest SVN on a Vista machine with onboard ATI Radeon 3200HD graphic chip. When I installed latest driver from AMD, MP made the entire machine freeze when turning on tv after a resume. I then downgraded to the driver included with ccc 8.8 and it all works except that I occasionally get BSOD. I figure that I could run through every driver from 8.8 and upwards and see which one works best, but if someone has the same combination and has a working solution I guess this could save me a lot of trouble and headache...
So the question in short: What version of AMD Catalyst is the best in combination with MP 1.1 Beta SVN, Vista, SAF and Radeon 3200HD?

I just installed a new Sapphire HD 5670 I have a problems with unlocked SAF installation on Window 7 , x64. The SAF installation does not does not recognize the graphics card as shown in the output log. The ATI driver version shown in device properties is 8.673.
How can this be fixed?
How can i also check if dxva/hardware acceleration is being used when a video is being played?

Looks like nice mess in registry...
That is common problem when replacing GPU.
If you reinstall OS, all should be OK...
I have no idea how to fix that, sorry![]()
