Well I (and others) have trouble playing .ts files using Cyberlink codecs in MediaPortal (see this thread) so I don't think it's just a MPC Decoder issue. I just tested all my .ts files and they work in WMP11 fine using MPC Video Decoder and Video Mixing Renderer (high quality mode) (Tools>Performance>Advanced). What is strange is graphstudio won't connect a graph to WMP11.

Yes, but MediaPorta use its own TSsplitter and this splitter doesn't work with MPC-HC filter (only some videos type). I personely believe that the problem are on MP side, becouse Haali ts splitter working perfectly with MPC-HC filter.

Maybe one day MP team decide to intergrate MPC-HC in to MP as core player, and all problems will be gone - but this is just an dream ...

If there is this problem with .ts files does this mean HDTV will not work either? Has anyone got it working in MediaPortal with the MPC decoder? I thought Paranoid Delusion had it working, but I think they only have an SD DVB-T so it wouldn't be using the h.264 decoder. I can't think any reason why they would not want to integrate it now MPC-HC seems to be able to play every file under the sun without any problems (well hardly any).

Fixed my problem with some MKV files not playing within Media Portal. But now need to get 5.1 sound going again.

Correct, and the other Movie files i was referring to where h.264 HD rips.

AFAIK, there were issues with haali media splitter, so thats why we used the TSspitter, whether both will become closer in the compatibility stakes, who knows, that's upto the developers of both splitters to achieve

You need to configure your audio. Read on first page how to do it.

Spoke too soon...now, all but one of the h.264 .ts files seem to crash WMP11 - the video keeps playing but the controls become very slow to respond. They all still work perfectly in MPC-HC though.

Thanks for clarifying. It would certainly be nice to get an open source HD decoder working for HDTV- fwiw I just tried the MPC decoder in DVBViewer and it doesn't work on BBCHD- gives green blocks etc.

OK, most of the time I try to access BBC HD it's just a black screen with sound but occasionally part of the picture seems to come up with random green blocks- see attached image.

So, what filter are 100% working with HDTV? Maybe i can add it to SAF too...
Main problem is, that i cannot test HDTV becouse i don't have any source of HDTV.
In place where i live, we don't have digital TV broadcast (no signal), it should be in 2012, but that is looong time

Unfortunately I think the ones most people use are commercial i.e. Cyberlink PDVD, Arcsoft TMT, CoreAVC. I am not sure whether ffdshow works.
