TV signal is SD. I think my tuner should show it in SD as well :)

And I just also found out that I can play only ts files with this player ;) no avi file can be recognized... I can only watch them with my vlc player (I have it installed).

Post your LOGs.

Here are these logs (and screenshot while installing SAF). I hope I've attached it correctly (doing that here for a first time) :)

BTW I've choose "not uninstall" already installed MP while installing this "weekly snapshot"... Maybe I needed to uninstall it firstly and then install this weekly snapshot? :)

This error you got mean yout Cyberling Mpeg2 is outdated. It is not serious.

From yout LOG:
2009-03-05 20:19:21.633329 [Info.][MPMain]: added filter:AVerMedia MCE MPEG-2 Encoder to graph
2009-03-05 20:19:21.830329 [Info.][MPMain]: added filter:PDR H.264/AVC Decoder to graph
2009-03-05 20:19:21.836329 [Info.][MPMain]: added filter:AVerMedia MCE MPEG-2 Encoder to graph

Your system are using diferent decoders. None of these are from SAF...
Try to connect graphstudio and see by yourself.

You can try to uninstall this Avermedia decoders.

I thought so (I mean that some codecs fights between each other ;) )

I'll try to uninstall everything I can and then proceed strictly:
1. Install pover DVD and take this clvsd.ax and uninstall it if needed
2. Install MP
3. Install MP weekly snapshot
4. Install SAF

:)

Well, now that I finally got HW decoding, the 1px border problem appeared...! I will wait and see how often this happens, and how annoying it is, before I do anything.

But anyway, I thought about a third workaround not mentioned in the first post: I have already stretched the display to fit my TV (in ATI CCC). If I strech it another notch, the border will probably go away. And I guess both MP and most movies/series can do fine without a few pixels in the border!
