    Hello Hoborg,
would it be possible to add an option for not installing MPA Audio decoder with your SAF package?
Since ffdshow audio decoders work very well with your SAF package this option would be very nice.
Only with ffdshow audio decoders I get proper surround sound with apple online trailers.

BTW: your latest beta is excellent. All local and onlines videos are now working fine !

    Hi.
MPA Audio decoder is installed even if you only install MP.
So if i add such option, it will be useless.

I´ve got a big Problem with SAF. I have no bass when playing DVD / Blurays. Can someone tell me where the problem might be?
I followed the instructions on the first page and the System is a complete clean installation. I have no other decoders installed. only the saf pack.

The problem only appears when playing 5.1 movies. Intros, Commercials, etc. work fine.

    Yes, post small example please.
I think problem is Win7 and its own audio video decoders (there is nothing from SAF used in graph), or you simply forgot to enable AVI under haali settings.

sample.. I need FTP or other sorce to upload, forum is limet to 5 MB ;(

Humm in graph all i do was drag over the avi file, thats it...
how do i make graf show me what's inuse in MP when MP try to play the file ??

    XP double decoding

    Hi all

So I've just rebuilt my HTPC with Windows XP (SP3) after battling with Vista for a year or so. Don't know why I didn't do it sooner. XP is so much nicer.

Anyway, the reason I am here... I have a problem with HD playback.

I installed XP, all updates, dvbfix etc
    Then installed MediaPortal
    Then installed SteamedMP skin
Then finally installed SAF347 (and matroska splitter) using PowerDVD codec.
I also downgraded to Catalyst 8.5 as per the warning during the SAF install.

SD rendering is as perfect as SD can be.
HD doesn't seem to work at all though - no picture, no sound.

Using GraphStudio I can see that "double decoding" is happening for HD streams:
MP File Reader -> MPC Video Decoder -> CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD9) -> VMR 9

So reading few a few posts here I unregistered MPCVideoDec.ax
After doing that, I get HD audio but still no picture.

Another trip into GraphStudio revealed that no video decoding was happening at all.
MediaPortal config now doesn't show any available H.264 decoders.

So... how do I fix this?

    FYI
    SD decoding uses
    MP File Reader -> Cyberlink Video/SP -> VMR9

    Cheers
    Mark

    Hi.
By HD you mean h.264 live TV?
Becouse MPC-HC decoder is not compatible with h.264 HDTV (it is writen on first page). You need to install some other h.264 decoder (like CoreAVC for example)
Local media will be working fine for you.
You can update catalyst to 9.6, they are working fine on HD3200.
