I am trying to use graphstudio to see what's actually happening with my codecs, but am having trouble getting ANY data from "Connect to remote Graph".

Can anyone help? Not sure where to begin on this. I am running Vists 64, Graphstudio sees the stream when you click "connect to remote graph", but it just does not show any data what-so-ever in the graph window.

Also, DTS Stuttering issues for me as well. I wouldn't mind switching to AC3Filer for the audio, but need to know whats going on to remove the proper codec to do this.

Thanks!

EDIT: I do get the process ID of the stream from MP, but nothing in graphstudio.

I too have had to stop using the MPA codec when playing MKV files with DTS audio. The stuttering is quite bad but goes completely when I then install and use AC3Filter.

How to you stop using MPA ??
i have AC3 installed, but now its using first MPA = stutter, then it sends it to ac3filter..

How do i controle what mpa dos and what ac3filter dos?

I have the same problem. I can use the GraphStudio toolbar controls to pause and continue the video stream, so I know I am connected to the right stream, but I don't see anything in the graph window. If you find out how to get anything, please post back to the forum.

P.S. I also tried GraphEdit with the same results.

i have AC3 installed, but now its using first MPA = stutter, then it sends it to ac3filter..

How do i controle what mpa dos and what ac3filter dos?

    MP Config <> Videos <> Video Player <> MPEG/AC3 audio decoder <> select ac3filter
Then on same page select <> Video Post Processing and look at available filters and double click on the ac3 filter to enable and activate it. It will then go in the top window with a tick next to it.

For me the above (with ac3 filter set appropriately) it works fine.

If you configure MP to start in a Window and then launch a known file that has DTS you will see in the system tray the AC3filter icon showing it is used, if set correctly.

EDIT: I do get the process ID of the stream from MP, but nothing in graphstudio.

same thing is happening to me:

    1. save the empty screen to a .grf file to your desktop (File | Save as a Graf, in my case) and quit graphedit (or graphstudio in your case)
    2. stop the playback in MP (or quit MP)
    3. double click the .grf file on your Desktop and now you should see the codecs that were used during the playback

    hope this helps
