Guys,

First of all, thanks for SAF. It is a good initiative to make the world of all the filters/codex more clear.
Unfortunatily, it isn't working for me yet.

I followed the instructions as mentioned in the first post (running XP). I have the following issues:
- Youtube not playing
- My Trailers not playing
- No subtitels with Divx (subtitle has the same filename as the movie file)
- ISO files are not running/playing very smooth, every few seconds it looks like the video stops for a small moment

What did I do wrong? Can not find a solution in this big thread, so I hope someone can help me with a solution.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Victor

Hi Hoborg,

first of all thanks for your great work! Thanks to SAF installing all needed codecs was pretty simple - once I followed your instructions ;-)

I had PowerDVD 7 installed on my system as it came with my Blu-Ray drive and I wanted to keep it for Blu-Ray watching. I then installed Haali and SAF with your instructions (except the PowerDVD 9 things) and had this issues (using the Onlinevideos plugin):

- I could not use VMR9 at all, no picture and no sound with all video types (had to use EVR)
- Apple HD trailers did not start at all, even with EVR
- YouTube videos had no sound or just a squeeking noise

After uninstalling PowerDVD 7 everything worked great! Ok, you say PowerDVD 7 is not supported, which I can understand if you don't use it / can't test it. Since I'm not very eager on buying PDVD 9 for Blu-Ray watching, I'd like to ask i I could do something to get also PDVD 7 and SAF working together. Would it help you to see some graphs of the non-working scenario? Can I try something on my system that helps you?

I already looked at the graphs and saw a "Cyberlink splitter" being used together with a "Cyberlink audio codec". Both MPC codecs were just "hanging around" unconnected to the rest of the graph...

Hi.
Well, if i can reproduce such problems, i can fix them.
SAF can disable Cyberlink stuff and prevent them for use. Problem is:
-i have no PDVD7.3
-i have no BlueRay drive or Blue ray discs
-qusetion is, when i disable cyberlink stuff, if blueray discs will be working or not.

If you are installed SAF beta 19, "SAF-FiltersExport.reg.txt" was created on your system root drive. If you send me the file + graph, i will be able to disable used Cyberlink filters in next SAF release. Maybe this will fix PDVD 7.3 + SAF issues.

Same here, if there is any thing I can do.. I have tryed PowerDVD 9 and Arcsoft Total Theatre with no luck... And I'm not willing to upgrade my MP to alpha... If there is any way I can help to move this along, that would be the least I can do.. Thanks

Same issue.

This is the kind of answer I was hoping for ;-) I will send you these files later today.

    Hi Hoborg,

Just tried Beta21 and all works like a charm! Not sure wich version of the decoder you used, but the recent ones don't register as a DirectX filter(eg can't use them outside PowerDVD.

    :D

Awesome! It's working great now: all videos still play in MP while PDVD is installed. And PDVD also still works.

    Thanks a lot Hoborg! :D
