Hello,

I m having problems installing latest version SAF400RC1. Installation runs through first dialogues, but after finishing off, the final box with instructions how to uninstall doesn't show up. I checked set-up in MP, and the PDV9 seems to be lost as options for h.269 files. What could be the cause? I ve uninstalled previous version before attempting the new one.
Logfiles seem not to have been created, hence none attached...

you are right, just small issue (only when GB-PVR not installed), re-download please....

SAF 349 beta 23 (Pre FFDShow) works fine with online videos
SAF 400 beta 12 (with FFDShow) doesn't work with online videos

Online Videos -> CNN -> Staff Picks -> Obama vs Wilson: Who's right

Audio is fine
Video is garbled

If i open the url in graphedit directly the video renders fine, with the same graph.

Also new version of SAF, I am unable to play The Spirit it just goes black for 1 sec then goes back to moving pictures, if i uninstall 400beta12 and reinstall 349beta23 then i can play The Spirit again. sample file 4mb

EDIT: I also find that with ffdshow you should disable the audio mixer. Mixer disabled 5.1 AAC works fine, Mixer enabled 5.1 AAC is read by receiver as stereo even tho mixer is set to 5.1 (3/2/1=6Ch)

Cannot reproduce, video seems to be OK (SAF 4.00RC1)

What is "The Spirit"?

Thanks for RC1! Can you please give me a hint, how to configure ffdshow for S/PDIF passthrough, or is it possible, to continie using AC3Filter?

Helios, include FFDShow Audio in the postprocessing, MP Configs/Video/postprocessing... click to view the filter options... go to output in the ffdshow audio config screen and mark dts and ac3 passthru...

SAF comes with the mixer converting everything to PCM Stereo...

I hope it can help you... I'm at a PC without MP, so I can't say it with more precision...

Is not that a preaty complicated? Start menu - SAF - FFDShow configure audio.
This window pop up afrer SAF instalation process automatically.

There is no need to add FFDShow to postprocessing...

Sorry hoborg!

Sorrry for that, but (in german) - ffdshow is "scheiße" Black bars in divx, AC3 & DTS passthrough is hard to configure and doesn't work! It was much easier with the betas before!

Hoborg, I forgot to say to remove the filter after accessing the config screen...

I didn't see that menu entry... I was accessing the configs for the filters by that way...

Helios, trust me, after you set this simple detail, I'll like the ffdshow advantages... That XviD decode made by MPC was horrible. My TV Series in XviD here was looking like youtube streams...
