It's best to let DXVA take care of DVD. Considering there is no one setting in FFDShow that can handle or determine if the content it's receiving is interlaced or not.

I agree. But bigest problem is, that DXVA on DVDs cause not working navigation on Vista/Win7...

Not true, using corresponding DVD navigator filter and MPEG2 decoder should work. At least I have been using such combination for few years with no single broken DVD menu.

Not working for me. tryed on cyberling navigator + decoders, Win7 navigator + decoder, same issue - buttons simply are not highlighted in DXVA mode on Vista/Win7. No problem when DXVA off.
Same problems is missing DVD subtitles.

I do not care about that, FFDshow working just fine on DVDs, rest MPEG-2 are decoded by Cyberlink DXVA.

I did some MPEG-2 decoding test tweaks in FFDshow settings, here is screenshot with subtitles from PAL DVD:

I think quality is good and CPU usage is ~13% on my Atom 330 and stupid Intel GPU - all in software mode, deinterlacing is done by renderer.

Subtitles get messed up if you use the resizing function of FFDShow.

As for your tweaking, are you still applying deinterlacing?

Find a PAL DVD and compare Deinterlacing on and off. Find some white text over black credits, you see the quality drop there.

I have tried the SAF 4.00 beta22 and realized that I have the same problem as with beta8 with AC3 streams of live TV and recorded TV (.ts).
The video is delayed. With mpeg audio track it is ok. The interesting thing is that I have around 0.5 seconds delay for channels such as Pro7, Sat1 (which is quite a lot) but only a very tiny delay for ORF1, ORF1HD, ARD, ZDF. ORF2HD has more delay than ORF2.

With DVDs, xvid, (avi, mkv), HD content etc. it is perfectly synchronized.

I have MP1.0.2.
Could this have something to do with the codecs?
Do you have any idea what this is caused by?

How can someone set up in mp that for vc-1 contect what codec should be used?

I have problem with a VC-1 contect inside a .m2ts container (BDRip)
When I play in MP or even in MPC-HC at some point the playback just starts to loop some frames with the audio continuing in the background.

I have ATI 4350 card, and tried to change catalyst from 9.3 to 9.12 -> no success

Lastly when I tried to connect Cyberlinc codec from latest SAF (23test2) in graphstudio to the graph, the playback was ok. How can I make it to work inside MP?

I installet the unlocked Version. Previously, I deinstalled all other codec. Update for directX; Installed SAF, make all Things like the first Site here.
BUT: On TV Configuration, i can´t see the Cyberlinkh264 Codec to select. And the result: No HD Chanel is working, I hear the audio but no video. And Mediportal is death.

What ist this? .... I don´t know!

In latest *unlocked* SAF beta 23, there is new PDVD decoder. Cyberlink merge PDVD MPEG-2 and h.264 decoders in to one. Just select Cyberlink Video decoder (PDVD9) for MPEG-2 and H.264 in TV section.
