Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

Interlaced VC-1 is not supporterd by MPC-HC as tourettes mentioned.

I do not known why, but new Cyberlink video decoder should support VC-1, but failed to decode any VC-1 at all - no ide why - maybe some registry entries are missing?

After I installed the unlocked SAF23test2 (the latest) the decoding was working in Graphstudio. I had to enable DXVA in filter settings first, with SW it was only black screen.

DXVA is already enabled for MP.

Hi. Is it possible to force a certain extension of subtitles in a mkv to be always displayed as default?
Thanks

It should be possible. Inside the Video tab (configuration.exe) there is an option to set the option to enable/disable it by default when starting a movie. You only have to make sure the name of the subtitle is the same as the name of the movie. I always rename the srt's to copy the name of the movie (except for the extention ofcourse).
Then it should just work. It works over here at least. :) Or do I misunderstand your question? Do you want a SPECIFIC subtitle type to be pushed?

I want a .srt subtitle embed inside a mkv to be always displayed

Example: I have just downloaded Heroes 4x13.mkv and Heroes 4x13.fo.srt, with the spanish subtitles. Then I put srt inside the mkv. How can I set the subtitles to be always displayed when playing the video in MP? I have tried checking forced in mkv tools, but doesnt work

In case of Heroes this is what I did yesterday evening... ghehehe
The video file is called: 'Heroes 4x13.mkv'
The subtitle file is called: 'Heroes 4x13.srt'
-Place the two files inside the same folder. (I dont embed it inside the mkv, as its not needed anymore)
-In configuration.exe enable the subtitles by default.
Et Voila! :D

OH, what subtitle renderer are you using? I use the MPC-HC one. This one works with the use of dxva. I dont know if there is still a bug in the subvob version of subtitles.

BTW... The heroes episode was reasonably OK.

What configuration.exe? MP config? I dont want all subtitles to be played by default, only *.fo.srt

it is better to mux subtitles inside MKV, here you can specify all languages, prefered, etc tracks - no problem in MKV merge.

Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

Hi Hoborg

I have just upgrade my GFX to a HD4550 from an on-board HD3200, i've been having problems getting MP to start, keeps crashing out on the loading windows plug ins.

So to fix i uninstalled everything and am in the process of reinstalling, put MP 1.1 on and am just putting SAF V4 beta 23 on, when i noticed it is registering that i have the HD3200 and not the HD4550.

I have disabled the HD3200 in the bios and my machne can't find it, see attached screen dump.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Si

Yep, looks like mess remains in registry. But this is not a problem, it have only info character.
