Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

Hi,

i've a problem with SAF-installation.

I'm using Win7 32bit and after installing SAF unlocked (v4 beta23 test4) I can't play flac files.

When I try to play them in MP 1.1 or MPC HC there's an error message "Can't render file".

When I install K-Lite codec pack everything works fine.

The Win7 installation is brand new - I tried to install SAF first, flac didn't play- then I installed klite and flac played. I've only one admin account and I installed both codec packs via "run as admin". I decided afterwards to deactivate UAC but nothing changed after a reinstall.

Do I miss something? Why does Klite work and SAF not? When I use both codec packs together flac plays fine, but I think this strategy will cause some other problems. (when I uninstall klite then flac stops working)

Thx in advance
thenoob

    Hoborg,

Could you make a version, that is creating a startmenu-shortcut for passthrough and downmix?

That would be really nice, because I have to install SAF with pass, then uninstall it and install it again with down to get the reg-files for audio switcher, because I don't know if you changed something in the ffdshow-configs!

    Thanks in advice!

Well, it is easy to add support, all you need is MadFlac filter.
No problem to integrate it in to SAF, that is only 2 files...

Ok thx...I assume when I want to use .ape, .mpc., .wv wavpack - I'll need to install directshow filters for these codecs too?

    Thx thenoob
