AW: Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Is it possible to integrate an actual bought and paid PDVD10 decoder (+ splitter) into SAF? And maybe there at least any advantages?

What we're trying to find out is if it's possible to use PDVD10 with SAF. (So can we install SAF and PDVD10 and use the PDVD10 decoder and FLV splitter in MP?

I think yes. You need to have latest PDVD version and install SAF as last one. If you will update MePo/PDVD, you need to update SAF too.

BTW, please report to PDVD team thier decoder doesnot work correctly with BBC HD...

Would it be also possible to play 3D material for instance mkv's encoded in a side-by-side format?

But isn't this feature implemented in the newest PDVD10 package? Why is it not possible to use this in MePo?

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Just in case it got forgotten:

Hello,

I got a strange problem that sometimes almost kills my ears. If I select 5 channel in FFDShow audio and some 5.1 material is played it bursts out loud as hell, since somehow that level of sound is not the same then the one for stereo sound. All I can do then is stop playing or go and turn down the sound by hand. No matter what I do in medaiportal (quiet down, or hit mute) does what it should. I can control sound normal as long as it is stereo. The same problem if I select "upmix stereo to 5.1" in music section. Does anyone know what my problem is?

I had some simulair problem when i was playing LPCM audio tracks. Some very loud static sound was coming out of my speakers.
I fixed with using Cyberlink PowerDVD for audio renderer because my XP pc couldn't handle the LPCM or something. Don't know if you could use this but it's worth a shot.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I have a problem with the subtitles. I have installed the latest version of SAF 5.0 (saf500svn100726.exe), selected "no" at the question "enable ffdshow subtitles" and patched mpcsubs.dll. Final version of MP 1.1.0

Now i have digital television and used the codecsettings as shown in the opening post. As far as i know (see attachment "graphstudio.png") both Discovery and NGC use the same video- (AVC H.264) and audioformat (Dolby Digital), though 1 of the 2 doesn't show any subtitles... Who can help?

Becouse this needs to be supported by player (renderer).
It need two separate video streams mix in to one.

Hi.
So why did you disabled subtitles if you want them?

If I use PowerDVD as audio renderer, can I select 5.1 sound there somewhere?

Please, create new thread for this.

This have nothing to do with SAF...

Next SAF SVN out:

SAF 5.00 SVN100730:

- ALL - FFDShow updated to rev.3516 (CLSID build)
- ALL - added Musepack support

Hi.
So why did you disabled subtitles if you want them?

Now you make me sound silly ;)

The reason I clicked no is because the installer states this:

Enable subtitles?

Click no if:
- You have Mediaportal 1.1 or newer.
- You have BlaBla and don't want to display subtitles.

I saw those two situations as OR while you probably mean AND

Anyway, I reinstalled the package with now chosen yes.. Problem is still the same :)
