Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi weemaaan,

for my Cuttersoftware TSdoctor i need haali too. With the integrated splitter of Saf 5 it does not work very well.

I ve first install Saf 5 and then haali. It works fine...:D

best Regards

Harald

but is this because haali is being used and not SAF splitters as it was installed last

95% of all video players/decoders (including VLC, MPC-HC, FFDshow, XBMC, etc...) are based on the same FFMpeg (libavcodec).

So why to use VLC if FFDshow will do the same (or more)?
good point. I didnt know that and your right :)

after install of haali all in Mediaportal works fine as it should do before haali was installed. I don´t know what splitter saf 5 now used. Graph studio shows nothing about splitters.

But the reasen for me is TSdoctor works only with haali perfectly.

Best regards

Harald

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

hi, i've been using SAF 4 for a while now but want to move over to SAF 5. My main issue is i need haali installed for use with ripbot, will haali disrupt anything on the SAF install?

Yes :/

Is it possible to add mpc audio files support?

Thanks in advance

Haali will broke most of SAF settings. It can work, but you can have problem for example with HD audio, AVIs, PGS subtitles, audio/subtitle stream switching (CTRL+ALT+numpad 1/2) wont be working, etc...

Musepack - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
a series of double-blind listening tests suggested that Musepack and Ogg Vorbis were the two best available codecs for high-quality audio compression at bitrates around 128kbit/s, beating MP3, AAC, WMA, and ATRAC.

Can you provide any sample to test?
