Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Did a fresh install of media portal/streamed MP with SAF V5 unlocked (system details in my id) – Now I have managed to get audio over hdmi working (partly). Most of my MKV files have DTS audio which works well. But I am trying to see if I can get HD audio working (TrueHD, DTS-MA or DD+). I found some sample files via google but they still seem to play as DTS.

The two DTS-HD files I found don't play at all (no video or audio)

And the two truehd play but only the AC3 audio track (though the truehd is listed – it will just plays ac3 irrespective of which track I choose).

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to bitstream to my AV amp (Denon 4308) please?
It is possible I am trying too many variables here – so does anyone have any sample HD audio files – which I could use to test my setup?

EDIT - Found this great website for sample files for testing - http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/high-definition-trailers.php

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I've got RC2 installed and SAF 5, and everything seems to be working ok, just have one annoyance... Before when I was using 1.1 Beta and SAF 4, I had the default zoom mode set for videos as stretch, and the videos took up the whole screen, edge to edge. Now with RC2 and SAF 5, even though stretch is set, the video still has the letterbox black bars top and bottom. I tried non-linear stretch and the bars got bigger.

Im not sure if this is an issue with one of the codecs from SAF (I am using it as per the screenshots on the frontpage, but using PDVD10 instead of PDVD9 for mpeg2) or an issue with media portal itself, but does anyone know how to stretch the videos to full screen again?

    Thanks

I also just noticed that 4:3 material won't stretch to full screen in RC2 with SAF 5.xx. But I don't know where the error is, because I never tested 4:3 material before trying SAF 5.xx. I was using SAF 4.00 when I installed RC2 of MePo but I believe that 5.xx should be better, as FFDShow is recommended again.

Stretching works good for me. Using "Stretch" from Aspect Ratio Menu (either live in MP or in MP TV / Video Section)

I have audio sync problems only on TV (also old recordings) with latest SAF 5.xx and RC2. Worse with PDVD9 than ffdshow.
    DVD's and videos work fine.

I've just installed SAP 4.00 instead of SAF 5.xx and now zoom works fine again.

I have no subtitles at all in my mkv's. They're not loaded in MP. Working fine with avi+external.
I pressed no at install as i use RC2. Do i need to change anything?

    Here are some late logs.

I've tried to enabled subtitle like said in the first post, but that caused dobbel subtitles.

Seen on the screenshot below ffdshow does handle the subtitles and they do work if enabled by shortcut, but as seen in MP1RC2 i'm not allowed to enabled subtitles.

As told earlier MPC-HC subtitle engine is enabled.

Note: SAF log are renamed to .zip as .7z is not allowed

I don't think it's built for RC2, but cannot find any dlls any ways where you said they would be.
