Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

"LogMeIn" is a software to Access......

I know that the answer was not for me, but i also use that program.

Exactly right - I use it a lot on both my PC's.

And can you try to uninstall it - just for test? It installed lot of DS filters...

There seems to be an newer version out: CyberLink Video Decoder v1.0.0.1127

...and where did you read this?

it only affects mkv files with DTS HD Lossless
if i have and options checked in pass-trough section playback stops with no errors. if i uncheck those options i get playback but its accelerated both audio/video

acceleration occurs also in studiograph and MPClassic

edit: ive attached my ffdshow audio settings

If you are using DTS- HD for passthrough try to use the Mpc-hc Video decoder for vc1 Files... Ffdshow dxva Decoder has issues with vc1 Files and DTS HD ! It has nothing to do with vc1i ...

    Hey, hoborg,

Yesterday I've been fidling the whole day trying to get bitstreaming to work via Radeon 5450 to Onkyo reciever.

When installing your SAF5 codecs, AC3, DTS, TrueHD and DTS-HD MA bitstream perfectly inside MPC-HC,
but with internal player of MediaPortal only AC3 and DTS work. Files with TrueHD and DTS-HD just open for a second and close, no picture and sound.

If I don't use SAF and install just ffdshow+haali, then with haali bitstreams everything, except DTS-HD MA.

    Do you have any suggestions?

I tried using graphstudio, but can't connect to remote graph in MP for some reason.

...and if you play your video directly in graphstudio, does it works or not?

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

The latest FFDSHOW builds have a bug inside which will give some issues with bitstreaming.
Also Haali Splitter has serious issues with the new HD audio formats... you need to use the MPC Matroska Splitter as included in SAF 5!

As you can read in the doom9 ffdshow hd audio discussion thread (last 2 pages) there's a fix for this bug, you can download the fixed build here:

    ffdshow_rev3373_20100424_msvc2008.exe

Install SAF5, and after this the ffdshow build in this upper link.

When Playing of the file starts and stops again after installing it... you need to switch to the MPC-HC Video Decoder.

    Regards
    Chris

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

    Another SAF SVN out.

I updated PDVD h.264 decoder from version 9 to 10 (*unlocked* SAF only). I tested some h.264 *.ts samples inside MePo and GB/PVR, all seems to work just fine. So please test HD LiveTV and report. Thanks

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Ok, I've found the problem. Inside MKV were two audios, TrueHD and DTS.
I removed the DTS track and left just TrueHD. Now it plays fine inside MediaPortal.

Inside graphstudio and MPC-HC it works with dual-audio, TrueHD+DTS in one mkv.

Now everything bitstreams with internal player :D But I'm not sure how yesterday the DTS-HD MA wasn't working,
and now it does. Maybe some codecs weren't removed properly.

Thanks and appreciate your hard work on SAF codecs :)
