Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi,

I have restarted for the second time after installing SAF, and when I render the file in graphstudio, I still have VMR video renderer by default.

Either way, since it plays with VMR or EVR in graphstudio, it should do the same in MP, right?

I think my solution of disabling MPEG1 in ffdshow is probably the simplest, but if you do want to find a solution, I am more than happy to help.

Just to confirm, when you play this in MediaPortal with EVR, it still plays fine?

Mark

Strange.
Merit change working on my Win7 setup, but i newer try it on Vista.

I have here only XP, but yes, EVR working for me.

Do another test:

If you double click on your MPEG-1 sample, it should be opened in MPC-HC - if not, start MPC-HC and play it here.
Just make sure you have EVR or EVR-CP as renderer (SAF should preconfigure all of this settings).

If video play here using EVR/EVR-CP too, then it seems that MePo EVR doesnot like your GPU...

To be sure - if you play MPEG-2 file *.MPG, does it works or not?

Again - i am on ICQ, if you can contact me, it will be faster to comunicate...

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

hoborg, can you help me about my post at #953?
Thanks

Please try test build i posted .

Send me your SAF logs from this version.

Make sure you disabled audio passthrough in SAF install

Test your video samples in graphstudio, not in MePo.

Ok, did what you said: the movies play well in graphstudio with and without audio passthrough. They also play fine in MePo with audio stream switch if I disable "Connect as PCM first" in ffdshow audio output settings!

The problem that I couldn't yet resolve is with the movie 300 that show blocks in MePo (it plays fine on graphstudio and in MPC!)

Well, if videos play fine in graphstudio then SAF doing is work as it should.
I am afraid i cannot help you futher :/

My mistake since 300 shows the same block in MPC... (but plays fine in graphstudio), and about the "Connect as PCM first" setting, is it important?

Sorry for keeping boring you...

    Hi Hoborg,

I had SAF 4.00 stable (key version) installed on my Win7 x64 .
Then I upgraded to various SAF 5.00 experimental builds - however, in MediaPortal für HDTV there is still Cyberlink PowerDVD9 decoder instead of PowerDVD10.

On another machine (MediaPortal Client only), I upgraded from SAF 4.00 to 5.00 without any problems.

    Any hint?
Do I have to manually unregister the old Cyberlink 9 decoder?
How can I upgrade to Cyberlink 10 for x264 Satellite TV?

    Thanks,

    Heiko

    Hi.

Why did the latest version of SAF remove the MPC MPA Decoder Filter?
For me this is the only filter capable of passing through the DTS core of a Blu Ray DTS HD audio track to a DTS (non HD) capable receiver via SPDIF.

    Cheers.

    Latest SAF?
MPC MPA decoder is not part of SAF around 1/2 of year....

    Strange.
Not sure what installed it. Maybe it is part of MP installation itself?
However the installation of the latest SAF5 (or the uninstall of the previous SAF5) unregistered the filter (ax file is still present).
This was not the case with all the previous SAF5 versions I was using (100526, 100512, 100507, 100430, 100420, 100401).

MPC-MPA decoder is part of MePo,not SAF.
