Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Well, there is not "perfect" solution to play all m2ts files. If i will replace current splitter by Cyberling one:

+VC1i DXVA playback
+better suport of m2ts files (like sample above)

-no subtitles at all
-not possible to switch between audio tracks

Probably not the best solution... And I really need audio track switch...
And about a diferent splitter insted of Cyberling one?

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

hmm it should be ^^

i don't have any problems with any kind of video stream. Only the OSD doesn't show up.

Try to play it in graphstudio - start playback and press CTRL+ALT+O (O not 0) :)

Hello hoborg

there it seems to work.
see attachment ...

btw a cpu usage around 70-80% seems a "little bit to high for hardware acceleration?!

That is becouse OSD and subtitles are rendered. Check by task manager (turn ON/OFF OSD/subtitles).

Is the patched MPC Subtitle DLL still needed with the latest RCs? (meaning: will subtitle switching from the menu work without patching anything else when using SAF5?) What settings do I use? MePo Subtitles set to MPC, FFDshow subtitles off?

Playback of VC-1 video inside M2TS container stutters

    Hi Hoborg,

in general, your SAF package is working well for me.
But I have an issue with the playback of VC-1 video inside M2TS containers (continous stuttering).
H264 video is running absolutely smooth.
Obviously this is a known problem with the EVR Custom Pres. renderer in combination with the Gabest MPEG splitter.
In the external MPC-HC application I have to enable the option called "Frame Time Correction" to solve this issue.
Am I right that there is no solution inside of MP?

I am running Windows 7 (64bit) with your latest SAF package.
My graphics card does not support DXVA for VC-1 video.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

I resolved the m2ts-problem by installing the actual Haali Splitter. Now there are only 2 m2ts-files left, that play without sound. With standard SAF5 i had about 5 of 30 m2ts not even starting playback and some files run totally out of video/audio-sync(like 10 sesonds) from the beginning. As for me m2ts-files are essential im quite happy with Haali.

ps: I dont know how Haali breaks the SAF5-pack, so try at own risk! ;)
