I see, but can you tell me please, what options exactly need to change to fix it without reinstalling? I might switch passthrough off sometimes and i don't want to reinstall SAF each time.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hi,

Having a problem with a couple of video's, the play back is fine but no Audio? the files are MKV & AVI

I have other video's that are playing fine in the same format, the files did play fine before i installed SAF v5; i followed the instructions to the letter..... that meant uninstalling all media players & ATI avivo codec.

my question would be.... if i reinstall all the programs which i removed (divx, xdiv etc... ) one at time, would this mess up SAF?

What type of audio codec is it in the files? DTS?

not a clue..... how would i find out?

G-Spot is a free app that you can open your video files with and find out: Free-Codecs.com :: Download GSpot 2.70 : GSpot identifies which video codec and audio compression method is used

    Emph

    emphatic:
That is not needed. Just play your video in MPC-HC installed by SAF, right click on player-properties and here you will get media info.

    birkenhead:
reinstall SAF and this time do not enable audio passthrough.
