    Did you try both aplitters?
Post a sample, i will look.

With the MPC-Splitter this .avi does work fine (but not the mjpeg-avi). Will post sample when I'm home.

Took a whil, but here is the sample for the .avi without sound with standard-OS-Splitter. Maybe you have an idea?

    I can confirm your issue.
Must be MS AVI splitter problem.
How many such AVIs do you have?
Best way how to fix this is to use MKV merge and change AVI container to MKV.
    MKV will play just fine.

...or wait for SAF6. There is no problem with LAVF splitter on both your samples :)

So I have reformated my pc like 6 times. I had saf5 working for like 3 days, then it decided to get terrrible stutter. I can get it to work for like 1 day then it will start to stutter again, and sometimes I have to reformat. Sometimes they work in graph studio and sometimes they do not. Currently trying saf5RC1. Trying a mix of MKV's with DTS-HD and TrueHD

    Windows 7 x32
    Media Portal 1.1.3
    Saf 5RC1

    AMD Athlon II x2 240
    ATI 5450
    Onkyo rc260 receiver (dts-hd, TrueHD)
    Toshiba 46" 1080p
    Here is log file SAF_LOGs.7z

AW: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

    Hi,

switching to Win7 solved the bitstream Problem.
Real HD-bitstream on my AVR now, I Like :)

    Got one problem though:
    I can't switch language anymore.

mkv e.g. has two audio streams, the option to change audio is not applicable. (Navigate -> Audio ... )

It only works by clicking on ffdshow audio within tray at the register "stream switcher".

I added ffdshow Audio to external filters. Thats not a problem, istnt it?
Wondered why that is not preconfigured in SAF5?

    regards

I am not sure, but it should be supported by latest revision of MediaPortal. If not, you need to apply patch.
This is not SAF issue, search MePo thread.

It only works by clicking on ffdshow audio within tray at the register "stream switcher".
You can use CTR+ALT+numpad0 and CTR+ALT+numpad1 to switch between audio/subtitles tracks in all DS based players if SAF5 is in use.

Yes, it is, it will broke playback of files with multiple audio tracks - MePo popup cannot play message. This is problem of MePo graph build logic.

Wondered why that is not preconfigured in SAF5?

SAF basically configure DirectShow playback in your system. It doesn't change any MePo settings. It newer did.

It's not too much files with these problems. Will wait for next SAF-Version then. thanks for your support!

    Hi hoborg
Good day. Have you tried using a splitter from this conference? Its main advantage is that it is made specifically for media portal and has the opportunity to appoint himself what codec to connect with what material.

    Nope, i didnt.
This one is developed only for MediaPortal?
Right now i think the LAVF is the correct way to go :)
It should even support MePo stream switching system:
    - Changed the stream change handling for better compatibility with certain players (Media Portal, and others)

Great thanks, thats even better, as i can use that for my Harmony directly :) Will try it, asap :)

Ok, I'll remove it big thx.
Thought if its not in there, DTS-HD is only DTS in AVR Display ... when I added ffdshow Audio, Display says DTS-HD MASTR ... but I have to verify if the difference was really caused by that entry in external filters.

Will come back with feedback asap.

    :D again!
