- MPC-HC filter/player updated to rev. 1.6.6.6525
- enabled LAV Audio decoder try icon by default
- added write protected check to SAF unlocker
- updated SAF installer
- CyberLink Video/SP Filter updated 8.4.6940.3427 (*unlocked* SAF only)
- CyberLink Video Decoder (PDVD12) updated to 1.0.1130.4510 (*unlocked* SAF only*)
- removed FFDshow DXVA decoder from Intel QuickSync profile

I Had to do a reinstall so updated everything.

Now I have MP1.3 beta installed with SAF v6.1.9
Many files play OK but MP4 gets many block artefacts.
Graphstudio says it is using FFDSHOW and EVR for that file.
if I play the same file on MPC-HC i do not see a problem

Hi.
Did you tryed to play the file directly in Graphstudio provided by SAF? START - SAF - Tools - Graphstudio, drag and drop your file here and hit play.

hi Hoborg, non I did not play in in graphstudio. I just dropped it there en saw which codecs where used. I remember from a previous time you need to know that. I tried to play it now
It plays OK in graphstudio to. Full screen no visible artefacts.

Well, then SAF is working as it should.
Can it be MePo 1.3.0 issue?

Hi I have no clue if this would be some MePo 1.3 issue. Would not know how to find that out.
Many files play OK I have played DVD without problems I could try to play some HD stuff again, but the only problem I see is with these files.
Coud there be anything wring in my MePo config causing this?
I tried to search the forum for similar reports in MePo but did not find any

I checked in MePo:

Vc1 and VC1i both LAV decoder with EVR.
Now I am gonna try with FFDSHOW DXVA decoder to see if that works better.
Nope No change Also normal FFDSHOW with same result.

Also tried switching away from EVR to other option witch the did not show the video at all
The puzzle continues...

DVD9 play OK

Tied some MKV which have same problem

Hi guys,

Is there a screenshot showing the settings for the various tabs in 1.3.0 beta? I tried my best to setup the new SAF using the screens on page 1 but the codec settings screen is very different.

Hi Karl,
I would like to see that also. In the past I have seen similar setup screenshots here for SAF here in the forum.
Maybe I could find out what goes wrong with my system.I tested a file that we looked before I switched to MePo1.3 with SAF. That file used to play flawless and now it is almost impossible to watch

Now I am concidering to do a reinstall form the default MePo 1.3 beta and see if the problem disappears. I think I need to deinstall SAF and MePo 1.3 cleanup everything and then start from scratch again Not something I am looking forward to

Current situation is ruining the WAF and that is something to avoid
