Hi Hoborg,

I had the same with MKV .
I am on an AMD media PC but I do not use the onboard graphics.
I added an extra videocart in the PC AMD radeon HD6450 driver is 8.892.9.0
BTW I also opened a threath here:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/mp1-3-beta-some-problems.116002/
To see if there is any other feedback on this issue.
I did an uninstall this night (MePo and Also the SAF codecs)
I tried with the standard codec pack that comes with MePo1.3Beta it has same problem.
only tha SAF codec plays more files!!;)

Try different GPU drivers (from AMD site) and check if you GPU is not overheating.

Hi Hoborg tried it with the newest drivers.
GPU temperature is about 32 degC So no not overheating.
Result.. still the large block artefacts. acually I do not see any improvement...
Good to see I am not the only one... sametimes you feel stupid if it works for everyone else:confused:

Didn't find a driver version that supports my GPU (AMD A10 Processor / Radeon 7660 HD) AND doesn't produce the block artefacts with fddshow or CoreAVC and activated DXVA, but LAV Video Codec works fine, so I guess I can live with that.

I heared that I could connect graphstudio to the mepo window to find out which codecs are actually used to play in mepo .
I can connect to a window but nothing is shown in graphstudio?

    Hi all
I recently upgraded MePo to V1.3 beta, with SAF 619.
Playing mkv, divx, dvd and tv works fine (great hoborg! (y)).
The strange thing I saw when playing Blu Ray: in MePo 1.2.x, I saw the BD with the plugin moving pictures and the video codec FFDShow DXVA.
In MePo 1.3 was added native support for BD, but using FFDshow DXVA as video codec (there is a specific section - see attached image), MePo crashes 9 times out of 10. I changed the video codec setting Cyberlink PowerDVD 12 (unlocked saf) and and it works well, strange..

in fact, trying deeper, with FFDshow DXVA MePo occasionally crashes (always starting playback) with 1080p mkv.. :(
using PowerDVD codec, MePo it seems that it is never crash..
