Re: AW: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

    Hi Hoborg,

Using SAF 4 is was able to play .mod files however since changing to SAF 6 Im unable to. I can play the files in MPC-HC i have attached log.

The error that comes up on the screen is 'unable to play file.mod video codec MPEG video version 2 Audio codec AC-3

    Thanks
I bet your mod will play corrctly if you open it in Gpahstudio.
Make sure you dont have .mod extension in MePo video player and add it in to MePo audio player extension.
The problem is that MePo try to play your .mod in video player instead of audio player.
Similar problem have user with FLV files few pages back on this thread.

The problem with this is that they are Video files from a home video camera so if I take the .mod extension out of MePo video player when I go to the folder to view it nothing is visible. I tried to open in Graphstudio and it said it was unable to render.

    Thanks

    Hello,
Hoborg, I saw in your setup that you use PowerDVD for TV codecs. I was setting up to watch TV, and I only get audio, no video. Can I get unlocked SAF6.0? Or should I use other codecs?

    Kindest regards,

    Kjartan

    ??? MOD a video file?
MOD is a typical music module format.
Can you send me small sample of such video?

BTW, if you rename .MOD to .AVI - doest it start to work?

Hey, i should get some prize, two victories! :D :D

I too I am experiencing a similar issue with the mpg extension after upgrading from 5.02 to 6, but notice that when I rename the extension to like m2ts for example Graphstudio opens the file. Not sure how to fix it though so it recognizes the mpg extension

I have no solution for this MOD problem. MOD is an audio fine and it need registry definiton to use DC-Bass Source filter to play it.
If i remove MOD from registry, MOD video start to play, but MOD audio will stop.
Right now only way is rename the file extension from MOD to AVI for example.

Then you have somehow damaged registry. If you send me SAF LOGs, i can look.

In my opinion, who listens to MOD audio files these days anyway? It's been ~15 years since I listened to one...
If you are into tracker (module) music files, there are far better formats like .xm, .s3m, .it etc... (you can check Popular formats section)
