Disable h.264 decoding in FFDshow DXVA/FFDshow decoders.
I did that, but it still showed ffdshow on the graph? Does it need a restart after disabling?
Maybe it is MPEG-2? If you disable codec in FFDshow, it wont load to graph = you did something wrong.
Anyway, if I use ffdshow to play the movie in Graphstudio, then the lipsync is fine. I only have problems in MePo, where I am using PDVD11..
Cheers..
Hi,
I installed SAF6 unlocked on a fresh installed Windows 7.
In your instruction you write to choose "MPC-HC" for H264 in video settings. Is that also for SAF6?
Because I don't have that option on mine, so can you advise if I have misunderstood something?

Then this is not a SAF issue.

Just had time to look at this again because another movie had lip sync issues..
ffdshow is showing h.264 as disabled, and the movie is definitely h.264. Graphstudio still shows that it is using ffdshow..

I am disabling it in the right place I take it? H.264 was set to libavcodec and I changed it to disabled in the dropdown.
Cheers..

Why? In GraphEdit the ffdshow was used and inside MediaPortal the Cyberlink one was used. Also even when there could be difference with the lip sync in GraphEdit & MediaPortal (or any other software) it could be down to the codecs and not the player side. MediaPortal for example requires more GPU and CPU processing power and if the codec / HW is just barely working inside GraphEdit and being able to keep the A/V sync it could failt to do so inside MediaPortal (or some other application that does more processing than the GraphEdit).
Without some careful study what is the reason for the A/V sync issue reported it is impossible to tell if it is a bug in MediaPortal or something else that causes it. Please do more investigation and if it is proven than it is MediaPortal bug then please open an forum thread / bug report about the issue.

The rule are simple - if it is working in Graphstudio, then SAF is working as it should![]()
