ATI HD4850, what power supply are you using, would suspect a 400-450w range would be needed and is it new.

- waht diference between ffdshow splitter and ffdshow codec (it works with splitter)
- in media portal is ther a way to know which codec is in use ???

FFDshow is not a splitter.
In PC-HC LAV audio decoder is set as default in external decoders, just remove it and add FFDshow audio decoder.
I cannot test AC3 encode - no reciever here. If you think it is a FFDShow bug, report it directly to FFDshow thread.

how can i resize my 4/3 videos to my screen resolution ?
do i have to use an other soft ?
i have a lot of dvd's ripped in isos and there are not in 16/9.

MePo should resize them, there is an option for this in menu, or it is not?

To make 4:3 material fill my 16:9 screen I just use "non-linear stretch" zoom mode within MP. There is a button on my remote mapped, in MP config, to switch Zoom modes.

Tried to fit my NV GTX285 in my HTPC but this couldn't fit becouse of the cooling is too large (overlaps SATA ports wich prevent me from connecting the harddrive required for booting)

Made my NV GTX285 fit in the system (with a hammer everything 'll fits).
Everything plays fine inside Media player classic home cinema With hardware acceleration! (with SAF installed it didn't work but think i've messed up the whole configuration)

All with all this card is too large, the power connectors are peeking outside of the case. i will get myself another (smaller) graphicscard that actual fits and i can configure the whole thing from ground up.

Thanks for your help i will give SAF another try in the future.

I have SAf4 installed. I'm using the link on the download page to get SAF4's installer so I can uninstall (I no longer have it) and the link is broken?

Will SAF6 installer uninstall SAF4 previous install?

I have realised that when I have ffdshow subtitles enabled imdb trailers in hd (using dxva) crashes.

It seems to be the option postprocessing surface overlay that is the problem. If I instead choose disabled for postprocessing there are no problem. Tested in MePo and graphstudio.

To prevent online video to crash in MePo when watching imdb trailers I created a rule in ffdshow to disable postprocessing for files containing *.mp4*. This work in my case but is not a good solution.

I'm not sure if something is broken in my system but I have this problem in ffdshow with saf 5.02 as well as in saf 6.05.

I'm using winxp.
