Hi there!

I tried to check if my problem was already mentioned it the Thread but it is just too big, gave up after several pages...

Since I installed the new version I'm having the issue that when I change the Audio Track or Subtitle Track. MePo and any other player (Graph Studio, MPC-HD) crashes. The image just freezes and I hear a humming coming from my speakers.

I tried a few things in Graph Edit and I found out that when I remove the EVR Video Output, so only playing Audio, I can switch between the audio tracks without any problems...
I noticed the Issue with DTS and AC3 tracks so far.

thanks & br

hi hoborg,

i have a problem to play *.mkv file with AC3 in 44.1 KHz Audio (with 48 KHz no Problem).
Then the Voices of the Movie is to fast. I play Audio with passthrough to my reciever via SPDIF.
I think it is a resample Problem from the LAV Audio Codec, because i try SAF 5.02 with ffdshow Audio Codec, then i dont have this Problem.

Thanks.
Hi.
Some recievers have issue with 44.1 audio.

There is a bug in current LAV that sends the AC3 44.1 Khz content as 48 Khz stream. Next LAV version is going to include a fix for that.

thx
:)

Hi all

Please bear with me as I dont realy know how to describe my problem correctly!

I have SAF 6 installed on my HTPC (intel IGPU), which I use to playback basicaly everything via MP. I also have TMT5 installed as a MP plugin to allow for "regular" Blu Ray disk playback.

If I rip a Blu Ray to my HTPC I use MakeMKV and have always had faultless playback using MP and SAF 6. I recently ripped the Star Wars Blu Ray disks, and whilst watching the MKV rips I see "colour flashes" across the screen at different times.

If I use TMT5 to play back the rips, i get faultless playback.

Any ideas or tweaks i should try within the SAF setup to try and correct this?

I presume that there is a better description of "colour flash" but I hope it makes sense!

Thanks

Barry

Nice update on the LAV decoder included.

I notice it now can handle (ati native) dxva files with reference frames outside the specification. Birdscene is now even flawless :)

Thanks for the update!!

Hoborg,
I think I found a problem/threat for saf.
I see during install I am asked to remove LAV filters extention. When I press Yes.. go ahead.. etc. it is all deleted and it works ok...
BUT.. It does seem to stay in the extension installer list. SO MP still thinkgs the LAV filter is installed. The danger here is if a user opens the MP extention installer and tells it to update everything.. LAV filter is updated as well, while it should not be installed because of SAF. I think this might be an issue.

Tried the 44.1 passthrough over SPDIF. When playing a 44.1 DTS WAV I just get whitenoise. When putting the same dts stream into a mka Container, everything runs fine. The same problem like before, also with sharkys codec pack. Weird....

Did you change something in the config? When I start playing in MediaPortal, I have whitenoise (dshow in setting activated instead of BASS). When trying to open the a DTS wav in MPC, it crashes, also in Graphstudio. when putting the wav included DTS stream into mka container,. it runs like a charm...

Re: SAF v6.00 (based on LAVF)

    Hi.
I SAF is locked, MONOGRAM is installed, if SAF is unlocked, DivX AAC is used instead.
Which means MONOGRAM is no longer an option in config.

This might be good - for some (UK DVB-T2 users, I guess), but for others I think dropping this in unlocked is not a good idea. I found DivX AAC to be less capable than Monogram using DVB-T from Norway.

And what about LAV audio decoder?
I hope one day there will LAV only audio decoder needed :)
Sorry, using LAV corrupts image for me. DivX AAC works OK. Why not just keep the Monogram?
