Schedules Direct US/Canadian/Mexico EPG Plugin (Updated August 2010) (1 Viewer)

This might be a dumb suggestion, but it got me the first time I played with Schedules Direct..

Did you go to your profile at the Schedules Direct website and actually select the channels you need? The channels will not download until you specifically select them.

Also, there's a good set of instructions at the Schedules Direct website for debugging issues using xmltv.exe to make sure the EPG info is actually making it to your computer.

When you have everything set up correctly, the EPG download from Schedules Direct should only take a few minutes after you restart the TV service.

I built a new htpc yesterday and had to resetup MP. Using the SD plugin, wow, I had the guide all setup in less than 5 minutes. put the plugin in place, configured it, restarted the service and it's working perfect! I love it.

" Failed to locate assembly "Gentle.Framework, Version=1.5.0.2953, Culture=neutral, PublickeyToken=80b5e62e27be49b'. Note that the configuration program must be executed from/reside in mediaPortal folder, the execution wil now end." Then it closes with out saving any of the settings

You are using one of the original versions of the plugin with a newer SVN. You need to use one of the rebuilt ones I posted a few pages back with the latest svn's.

I have it working with the May 22 SVN just fine.

I'll probably try the April 2 SVN this weekend.

Is this plugin officially being maintained by the original dev? Or are forum members updating as needed?

The plugin created by the original Dev does not work with the SVNs. I'm using the one provided by ixian, which works fine.

I'll update it again when 1.01 hits; my last build works fine with the latest svn.

The creator has gone silent for the time being; hopefully he'll show back up at one point because I would really like to get the source to 1.1a; he made a couple minor but important changes that I haven't had time to reverse engineer yet.

well I have tried to get this to work on and off for the past two weeks with no success. I used a plugin posted on 3/23 a few pages back in a brand new install. All I'm doing is putting the SD plugin in the plugins folder in the tv sever folder. Is there anything I'm missing. I set up mythtv in linux without any real trouble but it has play back problems with my video card and I really like MP HD quality. I just which I could get SD working so I can record tv.
