    I can't find the gentle.config file in the location you list. Is its missing status the root of my problem?

    Can you see that directory, but you cannot see the Gentle.config? If yes, then yes, this is probably the issue.

    Not sure how you got an install without this config.

    Try placing the attached Gentle.config in this directory and see if the tv.log gives a different error... or even no errors :)

    I had to name the file Gentle.config.txt to be able to upload it here in the forum... rename it to Gentle.config

    I put the gentle.config file in the Team Media Portal/Media Portal TV Server directory but no listings data appeared after about 20 minutes of waiting. I made sure that the TV server configuration was set so the guide update would be forced upon startup of the TV service.​
    Is this a reasonable time to wait? Also, there appears to be a problem in that the box in the TV server configuration that one needs to check in order to force a guide update upon startup does not remain checked between uses.​
    What should the next step be?​

    Yes, this is a reasonable time to wait...

    The checkbox is cleared when you restart the TV Server.

    Post the latest tv.log to see if there is any advancement or if there is still the same error.

    I hope it is useful for many to follow. Thank you for blazing a trail for others to follow & taking the time to make such clear directions. I really appreciate you sharing your expertise. I probably would have given up without your help. It was quite exciting to see those listings populated. Community support works. I will look for opportunities to pay it forward.     Hey Tom, Happy to help....If your up for a challenge....you now need to get Ampdroid working if your an Android guy. It's a really cool plugin, but tough to get working. It does increase the WAF Factor immensely though. (Wife Acceptance Factor). The wifey picks out what she wants to record off the tablet and doesn't have to leave the couch.

    Ampdroid, What a clever idea. There seems to be no end to the ways that people will find to extend this tool. I'm going to be checking out how to play my WTV files through MP. Good luck with your wife. See you around.

    Yep, life does that...

    Just got a chance to look at your log and you still have the same errors as before... the database driver code is not connecting to your MySQL database. There is is something basic not configured correctly on your MP setup.

    When you installed, you selected singleseat?
