I'm using MediaPortal 1.38.1 x64 and have an SD-DD lineup account. In the last week, I have not been able to update my EPG, and It's nearing the end of my most recent update. I get a TVService log report that I'm either "not connected to the internet or unable to connect to the WebService" when the SD plugin runs, then it schedules a new poll in about an hour.

I'm waiting on a reply from SD about possible connection issues on that end. I can connect with my browser to the SD website and get a test EPG listing from my account, to show it is generating correctly

    Any ideas?
    Thank you

I am no expert, but the above suggests to me that something has changed in the way that your HTPC accesses the internet. Perhaps there have been recent Windows updates that have affected the firewall rules that are being applied. The Windows log of updates should indicate whether there have been any updates recently, and they might contain an indication of what has changed.

My thought as well, I did notice an update last week, and uninstalled the security update, which always screws up my 3 private network share connections. Maybe the operating system update threw in a wrench.

Got a reply from SD ...

"Looks like your last successful download was on 5/23.
On 5/24 for some reason we received 194 connections between 10:54 and 11:05
triggering a denial of service attack ban. The logs show it was lifted on 5/25,
but I still see the entry in iptables. I reset fail2ban and hopefully you're
    working again."

Weird what happened... is working now (WHEW!)
